The process of reinvention is the process of redesigning our lives. Just like anything else that matters, our lives deserve planning and intention.
Design thinking is not just for products or businesses, it is a powerful tool for life planning too. By trade, I ama lawyer but a creative at heart. Beyond my formal education, my life has been shaped by multiple transitions including writing professional exams to re-qualify as a lawyer in Canada, navigating career pivots, graduate school journey, rebuilding my life from scratch as a new immigrant and professional in two countries, and now intentionally working toward becoming a thought leader in my field.
These experiences taught me that growth is not accidental. Reinvention is not a one-time event. It is an ongoing act of evolution, one that requires honesty, intention, and the right systems.
In one of my previous blog posts this year, I shared some of the foundational questions I explored for myself. Today, I am sharing pictures from when I complete this exercise.

For those seeing this for the first time, I have included the questions again below. These questions are by no means exhaustive, but they are a great place to start:
• Who are you?
• What is your why?
• What are your fears, obstacles, and challenges?
• What is your mindset, do you have a growth mindset?
• How much time are you willing to commit?
• What sacrifices are you willing to make?
• Who is doing something similar that you can learn from?
• What systems will hold you accountable?
If you are a professional navigating a similar path, I highly recommend setting aside intentional time to complete this exercise or a version of it that works for you. You can also read more about this exercise on my blog.
